Sherry Traders

We’ve been running Sherry Traders from this spot in Preet Vihar for a good while now. The address is B-34/124 on Jasia Road, and if you know Haibowal, you know it can get pretty crowded around here. We deal with a lot of different goods, so the space is usually filled with boxes and crates stacked up to the ceiling. It’s not a showroom or a place with bright lights. It’s mostly just a working warehouse where we keep track of what’s coming in and what’s going out. I spend a lot of my day on the phone or checking lists. Sometimes the paperwork gets a bit messy, and I have to spend the evening sorting through receipts. My brother helps with the heavy lifting and the loading. The road outside is usually full of rickshaws and delivery scooters, which makes it tricky when we have a big shipment arriving. We don’t do much advertising because most people just find us by word of mouth or because they’ve seen our sign for years. It’s a practical business. We focus on getting the orders right and making sure nothing gets damaged in the stacks. Sometimes the rain leaks a little near the back door, so we have to move things around, but that’s just how it is with an old building. We’re just regular people trying to keep the business moving one day at a time without any fancy talk.
