Shani Traders

You can find Shani Traders at No.392 in Guru Arjan Dev Nagar. We are tucked away near the Gurudwara, which is a good landmark if you’re trying to find us for the first time in this neighborhood. It’s a quiet enough street most days, though it really picks up during the festivals or when there is a big event at the temple. We handle a bit of everything here in terms of trading. The space is usually filled with boxes and bags, and sometimes it’s hard to even find a place to sit down for a minute. I usually start my morning with a tea and a quick look at the notebook to see what needs to be delivered that day. It’s a simple operation. We don’t have a website or any of that fancy stuff, just a phone and a front door that stays open all day. My nephew helps me out when he’s not busy with his other work. We’ve been in this spot for quite a while now. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we never seem to get around to doing it. Most of our customers are locals who live within walking distance or just a short drive away. They come in, ask for what they need, we talk about the price, and that’s that. It’s an honest way to make a living. Sometimes the inventory gets a bit messy, but we figure it out.
