Sanjeev Kariyana Store & General Store

Sanjeev Kariyana Store & General Store is a long name for a simple place. We are located at 9067 57/36 in Kot Mangal Singh, Ludhiana. Being in this part of town means things are always moving and there is never a quiet moment. We have a mix of kariyana items, which is just the basic stuff everyone needs for their kitchen, and then all the general store things like pencils or hair oil. It’s a bit of a squeeze sometimes with all the bags and containers sitting around. We start early in the morning because that’s when people realize they’re out of milk or sugar for their morning tea. The floor is usually a bit dusty from all the foot traffic, but we try to keep up with it as best as we can. Ludhiana is a city of workers and we see plenty of them every day. We don't have any fancy marketing or anything like that. People just know we are here because they live in the neighborhood. Sometimes the kids come in for a piece of candy after school lets out. We spend our time checking our stock and talking to the distributors who bring the supplies in their vans. It’s a lot of manual work, lifting heavy bags and making sure nothing goes bad on the shelves. We don't have a big office or a manager. It’s just us behind the counter. Every day is pretty much the same, but that’s okay.
