You can find our workshop on the first floor right behind the Ram Singh Petrol Pump on Chandigarh Road. We’re also near that petha factory in Mundian Kalan, so you can usually smell the sweets when the wind blows the right way. We’re a small group of engineers and mechanics who spend most of our time dealing with technical repairs and fabrication. The stairs up to the first floor are a bit steep, but it’s a good space once you’re inside. It’s mostly just workbenches, welding gear, and a lot of spare parts scattered around. We started out small and haven’t really changed much since then. We don't have a receptionist or anyone to answer the phone fancy-like; usually, whoever isn't holding a tool just picks it up. Mundian Kalan is a busy area with a lot of traffic passing by on the main road, but we stay tucked away in the back. We do a lot of work for local factories and people who need stuff fixed quickly. It’s dirty work and we usually end the day with grease on our hands. We aren't looking for fame, just steady work that keeps us busy and pays the bills. Sometimes we sit out by the petrol pump during lunch to watch the trucks go by. It’s a decent life and we’ve got a good rhythm going with the projects we take on. We just do the work.
