S. C. Poplay Hosiery Works

S. C. Poplay Hosiery Works is tucked away in Amar Halwai Wali Gali, right opposite Street Number 11 on Shivpuri Road. If you know the area, you know that Gali is always busy with people coming and going throughout the day. We have been working with hosiery and various textiles here for quite some time now. The machines are usually humming from morning until evening, which makes the place feel alive and productive. It’s a bit cramped inside because we have a lot of raw materials and finished pieces taking up most of the floor space. It is definitely not a polished showroom, it’s more of a workshop where the real work happens with our hands. Sometimes the thread bits get everywhere and the floor needs a good sweep every couple of hours, but that’s just how hosiery work goes. Being on Shivpuri Road helps because people know where to find us when they need a specific batch of work done. We have a small group of workers who have been with us for years and they know the machines better than anyone else. It gets pretty warm in the summer months, but we keep the old fans going and just get on with the day. We don't use any fancy language to describe what we do here. We just make hosiery products and try to keep things moving. It’s a practical business run by people who know their trade well and don't care much for corporate polish. We just work.
