J.P. Iron Store

J.P. Iron Store is located at 4235/3 on Guru Angad Street. If you are looking for us, we are right near the SBI Bank branch in Shimlapuri, just off Gill Road. It’s a busy little corner of the world. The shop usually smells like iron and metal, which I guess makes sense given what we do. We’ve got all sorts of rods and sheets stacked up, and it can get a bit tight in here when a big delivery arrives. Most of the folks who come in are regulars from the neighborhood or builders working on nearby houses. We don't have a big marketing team or a fancy website. It’s mostly just us chatting with customers and helping them figure out how much iron they need for their lintels or gates. The street outside is always full of cycles and scooters. Sometimes the heat in the summer makes the metal too hot to touch without gloves, but that’s just part of the job. We have been here on Guru Angad Street long enough that we know the names of the kids playing nearby. It is a simple business. We open the shutters in the morning, sweep the floor, and wait for the first customer of the day. Being near the bank is handy for everyone. We don’t do things in a complicated way here. If you need iron, you come in, we weigh it, and you’re on your way. It is hard work but it keeps us busy and out of trouble.
