Pyzarine Departmental Store

Running Pyzarine Departmental Store on the Main Road in Civil Lines keeps me on my feet all day. Ludhiana is a busy city, and this part of it never seems to slow down. We are located near Kvm School, so the afternoons get very loud when the kids get out. You see them running past with their bags, and sometimes they pop in for a cold drink or some chips. The shop is stocked with everything a house needs, from detergents to different kinds of rice. I try to keep things organized, but on busy days, the counters get a bit messy with bags and change. Being on the Main Road means we get a lot of people just passing through who realized they forgot something at home. I have a couple of fans running constantly in the summer because the Ludhiana heat can be quite something. The windows get a bit of grime from the street traffic, so I have to wipe them down every morning. It’s a lot of work, but I like being in the middle of everything. We don't have any big signs or anything, just the usual boards. People know we are here. Sometimes the stock takes a while to arrive and I have to tell customers to come back tomorrow. That’s just how it goes with a small business like this. We just keep going every day, hoping the electricity stays on and the customers keep coming back for their daily bread.
