Komal Shoes Company

You can find us tucked away in Prem Nagar on Street Number 9. If you manage to find the Suman Box Factory, then you are pretty much right at our door at House Number 520/a. Komal Shoes Company is a local setup that has been here for a long time. We spend our days surrounded by the strong smell of leather and various types of glue. It is a noisy street most of the time because of the kids playing outside and the sounds from the factory nearby, but it feels right to us. We have been making shoes in this spot for quite a while now. It started as a small idea and it is still pretty much the same group of people working here. We don't have a fancy showroom with bright lights or mirrors everywhere. It is more of a dusty workshop where the real work happens on old wooden benches. My hands are usually stained with dye or polish by the time we close up for the evening. We just make sure the soles are attached properly and the stitching is strong enough to last. People from around the neighborhood know us well. Sometimes a neighbor drops by to get a pair of sandals fixed or just to chat for a minute. We don't do much talking while we work. The fans hum all day to keep the air clear. When the rains come, the street gets muddy, but we keep everything dry and clean inside the shop.
