Down at No. 44-45 on Humbran Road, things stay pretty loud because of the machines. Partap Singh Wala is where we set up, and it’s been our home base for quite a stretch. Knitting involves a lot of yarn and threads everywhere, so the floors are rarely completely clean, no matter how much we sweep. We deal with different fabrics and weights, mostly just trying to keep the production line running without the machines breaking down on us. One of our mechanics has been here since the start, and he’s the only one who really knows how to fix the older equipment when it acts up. It's a lot of repetitive work, but we get it done. The traffic on Humbran Road can be a nightmare in the mornings, so most of us try to get in early to beat the rush. We don't do much in the way of advertising. Usually, people just find us through word of mouth or because they saw the sign while driving past. The weather gets really hot in the summer, making the workshop feel like an oven, but we just keep the fans going and drink a lot of water. It's not a glamorous job, just honest work with our hands. Sometimes a batch of dye doesn't come out exactly right, and we have to figure out what to do with it. We just keep plugging away, day after day, making sure the orders are ready on time.
