Paras Provision Store

I have been living and working around Feild Ganj for a very long time now. The provision store is located at 149/10 in the Pradhikaran area. It is a small space, but we try to pack a lot of different items in there. Every morning for me starts the exact same way. I'm checking the milk crates and making sure the bags of grains are sorted properly. People from the nearby houses come in very early for their daily needs before they head to work. It gets a bit cramped when more than three people are inside the shop at once. The floor gets quite muddy whenever it rains, so I spend a lot of time with the mop. It’s just how it is in this neighborhood. We carry the basic stuff everyone uses, like soap and flour. Nothing out of the ordinary here. Sometimes the supply truck arrives late and we just have to wait around the front. The street outside is usually very busy with scooters and people walking. I’ve known most of the regular customers since they were just little kids. Now they bring their own children in to buy snacks. It really makes you feel old. We don’t have any big signs or bright flashing lights. Just the name painted over the door. The shelves are made of old wood and they creak a bit when you move things. It’s just a regular life here and we stay open until late evening most days.
