Oslow Knitwear

Our workshop is at D-33/1 on G.T. Road West, right near the New Ashok Nagar Jalandhar Bypass. Being so close to the bypass means we hear the trucks rumbling by at all hours of the day and night. It’s a noisy spot, but it makes it easy for our shipments to get on the road. We focus on knitwear, which means our place is always full of wool and heavy yarn. In the winter months, we’re incredibly busy because everyone needs something warm. We aren't a high-fashion house with models and runways. We’re just a bunch of people working with knitting machines in a brick building on G.T. Road. The walls are a bit stained from the road dust, and the floor is always covered in lint. We don't have a receptionist or a fancy waiting room. If you come by, you’ll probably find us mid-work with wool stuck to our clothes. We drink a lot of tea to keep going, especially when it gets cold. We’ve been at this New Ashok Nagar location for years, so we know all the local truck drivers. It’s a rough-and-ready kind of place. We don't use big words or try to act like we’re a multinational. We just knit the sweaters and hats and get them into boxes. It’s hard work, but it’s what we know how to do. The bypass never sleeps, and neither do we during the peak season. That is just how Jalandhar works for us.
