Octave Clothing

Our shop is over at B-33/325/5 on G.T. Road West. We are quite close to the Jalandhar Bye Pass Chowk. That intersection is always a mess with traffic, but it makes it easy for people to find us. We have been in this building for a good while. It’s a sturdy place, though the walls could probably use a new coat of paint one of these days. Inside, we have our racks and our counters set up. It’s a regular shop where we spend most of our waking hours. We know the tea seller down the street and the other folks around the chowk. Working near the bye pass means things never really get quiet. There is always a bus or a truck shifting gears outside. We handle everything ourselves, from unloading the bundles to helping the people who walk in. It’s a lot of physical work, especially when a new shipment arrives. We don’t use any fancy computer systems for everything; we still write a lot of stuff down in our ledgers. It works for us. The space is filled with the smell of new fabric and maybe a bit of dust from the road. We stay open late most nights because that’s when people are heading home from work and stop by. It’s a simple life here near the Jalandhar Bye Pass, just keeping the business moving along day by day and making sure the shop stays open for whoever needs us.
