Neha General Store

The shop is right here on Gendi Gate Road, near where all the hardware stores are clustered together. It is a bit of a confusing address with all the different road names like Wadi and S N Road mixed in, but people find Neha General Store okay once they are in the area. It is mostly just us and the constant noise from the traffic outside. We keep all the regular things people need for their houses every day. Biscuits, tea leaves, some basic medicines, and detergents are our main items. The building is quite old and the shelves are made of heavy wood that has started to creak a bit over the years. Haibowal Kalan is a busy place, so there is always something happening right outside the door. We do not really do much advertising or anything like that. People know us from walking by or living in the blocks nearby. Sometimes the power goes out in the afternoon, and we just sit there with a small torch until the lights come back on. It is part of running a shop in this part of town. We have had the same regulars for years now. They come in, ask for their usual brand of hair oil, and maybe complain about the dust from the road. We listen and keep working. It is not a glamorous job, but it keeps us busy from morning until night. The space is a bit narrow inside.
