Monte Carlo Fashions Ltd.

We are based out on GT Road in the Sherpur area, which is probably one of the busiest parts of the city. The traffic never really stops, so there’s always a low rumble of engines in the background of everything we do. Monte Carlo Fashions is a big name, but at this location, it’s all about the daily grind of production. The facility is large and looks like a typical factory with a lot of brick and metal. We have a gatekeeper who’s been here for years and knows everyone by face. Inside, the floors are concrete and there are heaps of yarn and finished goods waiting to be moved. It’s quite dusty because of the main road, so we spend a lot of time just trying to keep the machines clean. We don’t have a lot of decorations on the walls, just some old safety posters and a calendar. The staff works in shifts, so there’s always someone around, even late at night. We have a small canteen where the tea is always hot and the talk is mostly about the local news. It’s a very practical environment. There’s no corporate polish here; it’s a place for work. We wear regular clothes and get our hands dirty with the dyes and the wool. It’s a solid building that has survived many monsoons. Being at Sherpur on the GT Road, we feel like we’re at the heart of the manufacturing world here.
