Mohan Stores

Mohan Stores is located at number 19 on Pabal Road in the Civil Line area of Rajguru Nagar. We have been here for a long time, watching the neighborhood change around us. The shop is a bit old-fashioned, with wooden shelves that have been painted several times over the years. We stock a variety of items ranging from snacks to basic hardware bits. It is just a few of us working here, and we spend most of our time unpacking boxes or dusting the items on the higher shelves. Being on Pabal Road means there is a lot of traffic and noise throughout the day. We keep the front door open to let some air in, even if it brings in some of the street dust. We have a routine where we check all the stock every Monday morning to see what we need to order for the next week. Sometimes the suppliers are late, and we have to apologize to the regulars when we run out of their favorite items. We don't have any big signs or advertisements. People mostly find us because they live nearby or pass by on their way to the market. The lighting inside is a little yellow and soft, which makes the place feel a bit like home to us. We have a small bench outside where older folks sometimes sit to rest for a minute. It’s just a local business trying to stay busy and serve the people in Rajguru Nagar. We do our best to stay open late enough for everyone.
