Mittal Plastic Udyog

Mittal Plastic Udyog is located in the Industrial Area I-2100, specifically in the DSIDC Industrial Area. It’s a big block and sometimes people get lost looking for the right gate. We spend most of our time dealing with heaps of plastic granules and the smell of the heaters. The machines run pretty much all day long, making various bits and pieces that people need. It’s a bit of a maze inside with all the bags of raw material stacked up to the ceiling. We don’t have a big fancy reception area or anything. Usually, you just find someone on the floor if you need to talk. The floors are a bit scuffed up from moving the pallets around every morning. Being in the DSIDC area means there is always a lot of traffic, especially with the big lorries trying to turn the corners. We’ve had the same neighbors for a long time, so we all kind of look out for each other’s deliveries. It gets quite warm in the summer months because of the molding process, but we just open the big shutters and keep going. We don’t spend much time on the computer unless we are checking an order. Most of the business is just done over the phone or by people dropping in. It’s a straightforward operation here. We just focus on making the plastic parts and getting them onto the trucks. Most days are just about managing the heat and the production schedule.
