Makkar Poly Pack

Karabara Chowk is a loud place and we are right in the middle of it. Makkar Poly Pack sits near the New Sabzi Mandi and you can always hear the trucks backing up. The smell of fresh vegetables mixes with the plastic we have stacked up here. It gets really crowded in Abdullapur Basti during the morning hours. We have rolls of packing material everywhere you look. Some days it is hard to find a place to sit because of all the stock. The walls could probably use a new coat of paint but we never seem to get around to it. We just keep moving things around and loading up the tempos that come by. It’s a lot of manual work and our hands get pretty dirty. The floor is concrete and stays cool even when it’s hot outside. Sometimes we stand at the entrance just to watch the chaos of the market. Everyone is always in a rush around here. We’ve been at this spot for a long time now. People know us as the place near the chowk with all the bags. We don’t have a big sign or anything fancy. Just a heavy metal shutter and a lot of poly packs inside. It’s just how things are at the shop every single day. We open when the market starts and leave when it gets quiet. It is just a regular life in a busy market area. We don't change much.
