We operate out of Miller Ganj, specifically at number 45. This area is pretty crowded with all sorts of small factories and workshops. Our place is full of these big injection molding machines that make a lot of noise throughout the shift. It gets quite hot in here, especially during the summer months when the machines have been running for hours. We have bags of plastic granules stacked up against the walls, waiting to be poured into the hoppers. Most of our day is spent watching the cycles and making sure the parts are coming out right without any defects. Sometimes a machine jams and we have to spend an hour getting it unstuck, which is always a greasy job. The workers here have been around for a long time so we all know how to handle the equipment. We don't have a fancy office or anything, just a small desk in the corner where we keep the invoices and the phone. Delivery trucks come and go in the alleyway, which can be a bit of a struggle to manage because space is so tight. We just focus on getting the orders finished and out the door so we can start on the next batch. It is plain work but it keeps the lights on and everyone has something to do during the week. Some days are more stressful than others depending on the deadlines.
