Our place is tucked away in Old Kundan Puri, specifically at number 647 in the Civil Line area. It’s an older part of town, so the streets have that worn-in feel that we have grown used to. We’ve been operating out of this spot for a long time, and the walls show the age a bit. There’s always some paperwork piled up on the main desk that needs sorting at the end of the day. Usually, the morning starts with checking the inventory and seeing what arrived late the previous day. The neighborhood is mostly quiet compared to the main roads, but you still hear the usual street sounds and people talking outside. We spend most of the day dealing with the logistics of the business. It’s not flashy here. The shelves are packed with stuff we’ve collected over the months and years. Sometimes it takes a minute to find exactly what a visitor is looking for because we keep things in our own kind of order. The light in the back office is a bit dim, so we mostly stay up front where the windows are. We see the same faces walking past every day on their way to work. It’s a steady routine of answering the phone and checking the ledgers. We do not have a big fancy sign, just the name on the door. It’s just us doing the daily tasks that keep the place running. Sometimes the internet acts up, which slows things down, but we just wait.
