Milk & Cream

Milk & Cream is sitting right here at 8379, just opposite Lal Kothi in Durgapuri. Most people around Badi Haidowal know the spot because Lal Kothi is such a big landmark in this area. We spend most of our mornings getting things ready before the sun gets too high. It's a busy part of Durgapuri, and there's always someone walking by or a scooter beeping nearby. We've been at this address for a while now. The shop isn't fancy, but it does what it needs to do. Usually, the day starts early when the milk arrives. You can hear the cans clattering on the pavement. It’s a bit noisy, but that’s just how it is around here. Sometimes the traffic outside gets backed up, especially right in front of the Lal Kothi area, but we just keep working through it. We handle the milk and cream side of things, making sure everything is where it should be. It’s a lot of manual work, lifting and moving stuff around the floor. The walls have seen better days, and the floor is usually a bit wet from cleaning, but it’s a real place. People from the neighborhood stop in, some stay for a minute to talk, others are in a hurry. We don't have a big sign or anything too flashy, just the name Milk & Cream and this spot in Durgapuri. It’s just us doing our daily job in this corner of the city.
