Karan Brothers

We are located at 577, right near the Naulakha Cinema. That cinema is a real landmark, so it makes it easy for people to find us. If they get lost, we just tell them to look for the big screen and we are right there. Karan Brothers is a family-run thing, and you can tell when you walk in. It’s not one of those sterile, modern shops. We’ve got stuff piled up, and we know exactly where everything is, even if it looks a bit disorganized to a stranger. The building has been around for a long time, and you can see it in the creaky floorboards and the way the doors don't always shut right. We spend our days talking to customers, many of whom have been coming to us for years. It’s more of a community hub than a strict business sometimes. We share stories about the old days when the cinema was the biggest thing in town. My brother and I handle most of the work, from unloading the stock to sweeping the front step at night. We don't have a website or a fancy logo. We just have our name on the board and a front door that’s always open. It’s a simple way of doing things, but it’s worked for us this long, and we don't see any reason to change it now. We just keep the lights on and wait for the next person to walk in through the door.
