Modern Departmental Store

We have been running Modern Departmental Store for quite a while now. You can find us at Shop-2483 on Gill Road. We are right in the Janta Nagar area. Most folks know where we are because we are near Kwality Dharam Kanta. It’s a busy part of town and there is always something going on outside our door. The traffic on Gill Road can get pretty loud during the day, but we are used to it by now. We just try to keep the shop stocked with the things people need every day. It is not a huge place, just a regular shop where we keep the shelves full. My family and I do most of the work. We don't have any fancy staff or anything like that. Some mornings the deliveries come late and it’s a bit of a scramble to get everything sorted before the first customers arrive. We see a lot of the same faces every day. It’s nice to know the people who live around Janta Nagar. We aren't trying to do anything special here. We just show up and open the shutters. Sometimes we sit on the stools outside when it’s slow and watch the cars go by near the dharam kanta. The building is a bit old and the walls could use some paint, but it works for us. We just want to keep things simple and keep the shop going as long as we can.
