Bawa Bakery

You can find Bawa Bakery if you’re driving along the NH-1 Ludhiana-Jalandhar Highway. We are located in Village Hussianpura, right on Sankeshwar Lane. It’s behind the Malhotra Regency, so you have to look for the turn-off. Being out here near the highway means we get a mix of local villagers and people who are just traveling through the area. We do a lot of our baking in the early hours before the sun is even up properly. By the time the traffic on the highway starts picking up, we already have stuff coming out of the ovens. The lane can be a bit quiet compared to the main road, which is nice. We aren't a big commercial factory or anything. It’s just a local bakery where we handle everything ourselves. We’ve got the regular items folks expect, like breads and some local snacks. The shop itself is pretty basic, just a counter and some shelves. We spend a lot of time cleaning up flour and checking the temperatures. It gets quite hot in the back during the summer, but that’s part of the job. People usually stop by on their way home or while they’re waiting for something else nearby. We’ve been in Hussianpura for a bit, and we like the pace of things here. It’s a simple life, just making food and talking to the neighbors when they drop in to see what is fresh.
