Makkar Karyana Stores

Makkar Karyana Stores is our little corner of the world here in Abdullapur Basti. Specifically, we’re at Survey No 88 in the Gujrath Colony area, near house number 1848. It’s a typical neighborhood grocery store where the shelves are packed with everything from lentils to soap. We don't have fancy displays or those automatic doors you see in the big malls. It’s just us and the customers who live nearby. Most people who come in are our neighbors, so we know their names and what they usually need for their kitchens. The shop can get a bit cramped when a big delivery comes in and we have sacks of flour sitting in the aisles. We try to keep it tidy, but sometimes life is too busy for that. Morning times are the craziest with people getting stuff for breakfast or school lunches. By the afternoon, it slows down a bit and we can catch up on restocking. We’ve been in Gujrath Colony for a long time, and the building has its quirks, like the squeaky door and the way the light hits the counter in the evening. We don’t offer anything special, just the basic things people need to keep their homes running. It’s honest work and we are happy to be a part of this community. People just pop in, grab what they need, maybe chat for a minute, and go about their day. It is just the way we work.
