Little Kanhya Knitwears

Our place is down in Ram Gali, over in Old Madhopuri-1. If you’ve ever walked through those lanes, you know they can be a bit tight. Little Kanhya Knitwears has been tucked away here for a while. We do a lot of knitting work, so the sound of the machines is pretty much the background noise of our lives. It’s a bit loud sometimes, but you get used to it. The area is old, and you can feel the history in the brickwork of the buildings around us. We aren't trying to be some big factory. It’s just us and our equipment. During the colder months, we get really busy and the piles of yarn seem to grow overnight. We don't have a fancy showroom; people just come to the lane and find us. The light in the workshop isn't the brightest, but we know our way around the needles and the thread. It’s honest, hard work that keeps us going. Sometimes the power goes out, and we just sit outside in the alley until it comes back on. That’s just life in Madhopuri. We know the other shopkeepers, and we all look out for each other. It’s a community. We just focus on making things that people can actually use. Nothing more, nothing less. It’s our little spot in a very old part of town. We just keep on knitting and doing what we know best.
