Lucky Readymade & General Store

Lucky Readymade & General Store is right by the Clock Tower on GT Road in Ludhiana. If you know Ludhiana, you know how busy GT Road stays. There is always the sound of trucks and horns in the background. Our shop is a bit of a mix. We have readymade clothes but we also keep general items that people might need for their homes. It’s a bit of a squeeze inside because we try to stock so many different things. One side has shirts and jackets, and the other side has soap, toothpaste, and small things like that. It’s a bit unusual but it works for our customers who are often in a hurry. The dust from the road is a constant problem, so we are always cleaning the glass counters. Being near the Clock Tower means we see all sorts of people. Some are travelers passing through on buses, others are locals who have lived here forever. We don't have a big marketing plan. We just open the shutters and wait for people to come in. The fans hum all day to keep the air moving. Sometimes we sit on stools outside the door when it’s quiet. Ludhiana is a hard-working city, and we feel like we fit right in with that spirit. It’s just a regular store on a very busy road. We’ve been at this spot for years and have seen the city change around us. It's home.
