S. S. Surjit Hosiery

S. S. Surjit Hosiery is found at No. 111 Jai Hind Street in the Miller Ganj area. This part of Laxman Nagar is famous for hosiery, and we are right in the middle of all that history. Our place is an old building that has seen better days, but it serves us well. We have several knitting machines that hum all day long. It's a bit of a cramped space because we have so much yarn and finished stock sitting around. We try to keep a path open between the machines so we don't trip over anything. My father started this years ago, and we just kept it going. We don't have a big office or a place to sit down with customers. Usually, people just stand in the doorway and talk to us while we work. The street outside, Jai Hind Street, is always packed with people moving bundles of clothes. It’s a lively atmosphere, even if it is a bit chaotic. We usually have a radio playing in the background to keep us company while we count the pieces and pack them into boxes. There’s a lot of manual work involved, especially when it comes to checking for loose threads or small mistakes. We don't use any fancy technology here. It's all about the machines and the hands that run them. It's how we’ve always done it and it works for us. That is the way we like to do things.
