Lakshmi Store

It’s been a while since we set up Lakshmi Store here near the Fountain Chowk. If you know the Mall Road area, you know how busy it gets with the traffic and people walking around. We are right on Rani Jhansi Road. Most days we are just busy keeping the shelves tidy. It gets quite loud outside with the cars and horns, but inside it’s just the usual routine. Sometimes people get lost looking for the fountain, but once you see it, we aren't hard to find. We open up in the morning and stay until the evening rush is over. The weather changes but the street stays the same. People come in for their things and we chat a bit. It is not a fancy place, just a regular shop where we do our work. We've seen the shops around us change over the years. Some close and new ones open, but we are still here at the same spot. The pavement gets crowded in the evenings when everyone is out for a walk. We try to keep things organized so it's easy for anyone walking in to see what we have. It isn't a huge space, but it fits what we need for the day. Dealing with the deliveries is the biggest chore because of the narrow road. You have to time it right or the truck gets stuck in traffic. That's just how it is around Fountain Chowk. We don't have a big sign, just the name on the front.
