Kiran General Stores

Kiran General Stores is situated over on P A U Ludhiana Airport Road. It is a busy spot because of all the people going to the university and the travelers heading towards the airport. We keep a lot of different items in stock because you never know what someone might need in a hurry. From snacks and cold drinks to notebooks and pens, we try to have it all ready on the shelves. The noise of the cars and the occasional plane overhead is something we have just stopped noticing after all these years. We spend a lot of time organizing the displays and making sure nothing is past its date. The shop has a large window in the front that lets in a lot of light but it also gets a bit warm in the afternoons. We have a small fridge that hums in the corner and it is usually full of milk and soda. People often stop their cars right outside to run in for a quick pack of cigarettes or some matches. It is a fast-paced kind of store but we still take the time to say hello to everyone. We don't have any helpers, so it's just us managing the stock and the till throughout the day. Working on Airport Road means we meet people from all over, which makes the days go by a bit faster.
