R.K. Sharma Knitwears

We are located near the Division at Khawaja Kothi, not far from Samrala Chowk. It’s a well-known area and we’ve been here at number three for a good while. R.K. Sharma Knitwears is basically a family-run thing. We spend our days around the machines and the wool. It gets pretty warm in the workshop, especially when we are busy trying to get orders finished before the season changes. You can hear the hum of the knitting all day long. We don't have a big marketing team or anything like that. Most people find us because they live nearby or someone told them about us. We make sweaters and other knitted items that people actually need when it gets cold. We don't follow the fancy fashion trends too much, just stick to what we know how to make well. The floor is usually covered in bits of thread and yarn, but that’s just part of the job. Samrala Chowk is always busy with traffic, so it’s easy to find us if you know where to look. We keep things pretty straightforward. There’s no corporate talk here, just plain English and hard work. We value the relationships we have with our regular customers who have been coming to us for years. It’s a modest living but it keeps us busy and happy. We just take it one stitch at a time and hope the machines don't break down.
