Kay Tex Engineering Works

Kay Tex Engineering Works is over at Division No 3 Benjamin Road. It’s an old part of town and the streets are a bit narrow, which makes it interesting when deliveries arrive. We do engineering work right here in the shop. There is always the smell of oil and the sound of metal being worked on. It’s a noisy place, but we like it that way. We aren't corporate people with suits; we wear work clothes that get stained pretty fast. Benjamin Road is always full of life, and being in Division No 3 means we are right in the thick of things. We’ve had this shop for a long time. The floor is concrete and has some cracks, but it holds up the heavy machinery just fine. We don't spend money on fancy decorations. We just spend our time fixing and making things. Kay Tex Engineering Works is basically just a group of us who know how to handle machines. We talk to the customers who come in, mostly locals who have been coming to us for years. It’s a simple way to make a living. We do our best with the tasks at hand and try to stay out of trouble. It’s just a normal engineering shop on a busy street. The fan in the corner barely works but we don't mind the heat much. We just keep working.
