Our place is at 121, M.C.L. No.576, over in the Labour Colony on Gill Road. It’s a very busy neighborhood with a lot of people moving around at all hours. Being on Gill Road means we are right in the thick of things. The shop itself isn’t very big, but we manage to fit everything we need into the space we have. We’ve got benches set up for working on the tools and shelves for all the finished bits. It’s a bit of a squeeze when we have a lot of new materials arriving at once, but we always make it work somehow. The Labour Colony area has its own vibe, very energetic and sometimes quite loud. You can hear the sounds of the street and the local market all day long. We don’t have a website or any of that fancy stuff, we just rely on people knowing where we are and what we do. The front door is usually open and anyone can just walk in. We might be busy with a project in the back, but we’ll stop to see what you need. It’s a practical environment where the focus is on the tools, not the surroundings. The lighting isn't always the best, but we have good lamps over the work areas so we can see what we're doing. It’s a humble spot, and we like it that way because it keeps things simple.
