Anoop Gears

If you find yourself at Sherpur Chowk, you'll see us there on G. T. Road. We are right opposite the Hero Cycle factory, which is a big landmark around here. Anoop Gears has been operating out of this spot for a long time. The G. T. Road is always moving, trucks going back and forth, making a lot of noise. It’s a very industrial part of town, so there is always a lot of dust and the sound of machinery in the air. Our shop is simple, filled with metal parts and the smell of machine oil. We don't have a front office or a waiting room with AC. It’s just a workspace where we get things done. Most of our day is spent handling heavy parts and talking to drivers or mechanics who stop by. Sometimes it gets so busy at the chowk that it takes forever just to cross the street. We’ve seen the area change over the years, more buildings going up, but our little corner stays pretty much the same. We have a few old fans that hum all day to keep the heat down. It’s not a glamorous job, but it’s what we know. People know they can find us here because we’ve been at this address forever. We just focus on the work in front of us and try to get through the day's tasks. We usually eat our lunch sitting on some crates in the back. That's the reality of life for us here.
