Ahluwalia Bharat Engg. Works

Ahluwalia Bharat Engg. Works is situated at Plot No. 3260 on Street No. 4 in New Janta Nagar. If you are looking for us, we are right opposite the Arora Palace on Gill Road, which is a place most people around here know well. Our shop is a place where work actually happens, so there is always a bit of grease on the floor and some metal shavings in the corners. The street outside can get pretty crowded with parked bikes and trucks making deliveries, so it is often a bit of a squeeze. Inside, we have our heavy machinery and benches where we spend the bulk of our time. We don't have any decorations on the walls, just a few old calendars and some shelves holding tools and spare parts. The floor is made of thick concrete that has seen a lot of use over the years. We do a lot of welding and cutting, so there is often the smell of hot metal and the bright flash of the torches. We usually have to talk a bit louder than normal just to be heard over the grinders. Lunch is a simple break where we sit down for a few minutes before getting back to the machines. The other businesses on Street No. 4 are mostly workshops like ours, so there is a sense of everyone just doing their own thing. We don't put on any acts; we just open the doors, do the engineering work, and lock up when we are finished.
