A. S. Engineering Products

A. S. Engineering Products is based at 3850 Jamalpur Awana. It’s not one of those big, modern factories you see in the brochures. It’s a regular workshop where we’ve been doing engineering work for a long time. The street outside is usually full of activity, with trucks moving in and out and people going about their business. Inside our shop, it’s a bit cluttered. We have metal scraps in the corners and tools hanging on the walls where we can reach them easily. We make a lot of different engineering products, mostly things that other businesses need for their own machines. Our machines aren't brand new, but we know how to keep them running well. We don't spend money on fancy signs or office furniture. The desk in the corner is piled with old invoices and scribbled notes. We don't really have a formal way of doing things; we just see what needs to be done and get on with it. Sometimes the shop gets a bit messy when we’re in the middle of a big job, but we clean it up eventually. It gets quite hot in here during the summer months, but we have a couple of big fans that help a bit. The people working here have been around for a while, so we don't need to talk much to know who’s doing what. We’re just a small group of people trying to do a decent job with the tools we have in Jamalpur Awana.
