Kashmiri Lals Bhandar

Kashmiri Lals Bhandar has been a part of Amarpura 1 for a long time. Our address is 4, Amarpura 1, and it is a place everyone in the area knows. We sell various items that people need for their daily lives. The shop is filled with bags and containers and it smells like a typical store. We have been here through many seasons. Sometimes the street gets flooded when it rains but we stay open. It is a family thing mostly. We work together to keep the shelves stocked. People come in for small things and stay to talk for a bit. It is a community thing more than just a shop. We do not have a website or anything like that, just the physical store here in Amarpura. The building is old but it works for what we do. We know which floorboard creaks and which shelf is a bit loose. It gives the place character I suppose. Every morning we sweep the front and get ready for the day. It is hard work but we are used to it. We do not try to be anything we are not. We are just Kashmiri Lals Bhandar and we have been here at number 4 since the beginning. We just do our business the way it has always been done. It is a simple way to live and we like being here for the people.
