Kaler Punjabi Jutti

Kaler Punjabi Jutti is located in Dhaliwal Market, right on the Jamalpur Chandigarh Road. The shop is quite small and it is absolutely packed with juttis from the floor to the ceiling. You can smell the leather the moment you step inside the market. We don't have much room for fancy displays, so we just stack the boxes wherever they fit. There is a small bench for customers to sit on when they want to try something on. The floor is often covered with little bits of thread or leather because we are always working on something. Chandigarh Road is a major route, so there is always a lot of dust and noise from the heavy trucks going past. We don't have a website or any of that modern stuff. We just show people what we have in the shop. Some of the designs are very simple and some are a bit more detailed. We spend a lot of time organizing the stock so we can actually find the right size when someone asks. It is a family-run kind of thing and we have been in this market for a while. Everyone around here knows us. We aren't looking to be a big chain. We just like making and selling our juttis to the people who pass through Jamalpur. It’s a humble shop with a lot of history in these walls.
