Johns Suiting Palace & Stich Art

We've been on Bindraban Road for quite a few years now. If you walk down Civil Line Sat Sang Road, you’ll find us easily enough near the corner. It's usually a bit dusty outside because of the traffic in Ludhiana, but inside Johns Suiting Palace & Stich Art, we try to keep things organized. I spend most of my mornings checking the stitch work on the suits. People come in with all sorts of ideas for their clothes. Sometimes they bring a picture, other times they just describe what they want. My table is always covered in chalk marks and measuring tapes. The machines make a lot of noise throughout the day. We get a lot of regulars from the neighborhood who just stop by to see if their order is ready or to chat for a minute. It’s not a fancy place, just a regular shop where we do our work. Some days are busier than others, especially when there’s a wedding season coming up. The light in the shop isn't always the brightest, but we know where everything is. We have rolls of cloth stacked up against the back wall. I usually have a cup of tea around four o'clock while I'm looking over the accounts. It’s a simple life here on Bindraban Road. We just focus on getting the measurements right and making sure the needles are sharp. That’s how it goes every day at the shop. We’re just here.
