Radiant Knitwears is tucked away in Street No. 4 of Jammu Colony. To find us, you have to go to the backside of Preet Palace. It’s a bit of a specific location, so people sometimes get lost the first time they try to visit us. The address says backside Preet Palace twice for some reason, maybe because it's really tucked in there. We’ve been here in Jammu Colony for quite some time now. The building is older, but it’s sturdy and keeps the cold out during the winter months, which is important for our work. We focus on knitwear, so the place is always full of yarn and heavy knitting machines. They make a lot of noise, but it’s a productive sound that means we are getting things done. The neighborhood is mostly other small businesses and houses, so everyone knows everyone else. We often talk to the neighbors over the walls or while we're loading up the delivery van in the morning. Preet Palace is the main landmark around here, so we always tell people to look for that first when they ask for directions. We don’t have a big marketing department or anything like that. We just make the sweaters and other items and send them out to the shops. It’s a lot of manual work, checking every single piece for loose threads or mistakes. Our hands are usually tired by the end of the day. But it's a good life. We’ve stayed at this backside location because it works.
