Iqbal Singh

I’ve been working out of Samrala Chowk on Lane E for quite some time now. It’s a well-known spot, so people don’t usually have much trouble finding me. It’s just me here, mostly. I don’t have a big team or a fancy office suite. My workspace is just a room with what I need to get the job done. I’ve lived in this area for a long time, so I know a lot of the people who walk by every day. Sometimes I leave the door open to get a bit of a breeze, even though it can be a bit dusty from the road. I don’t do much in the way of marketing or putting up posters. Most of my work comes from people I’ve helped before or their friends. It’s a quiet way to earn a living as Iqbal Singh. I handle the paperwork and the actual labor myself. My desk is usually a mess of notes and pens, but I know where everything is. The chair isn't the most comfortable, but it works for now. I start early in the morning before the traffic at the chowk gets too loud. By evening, I’m usually wrapping things up. It’s just a straightforward, one-man operation. I don't need much else. People know I’m here if they need me. It's a simple life and I like the independence of it. I try to stay organized but sometimes things get a bit piled up on the side table.
