Eensemble

You’ll find Eensemble at Shop No. 9 in Gulati Market. We’re right on Hargobind Marg, directly across from the Aman Tele Shop. It’s a small shop, but we try to make the most of the space we have. We’ve got clothes and accessories hanging on almost every available inch of wall. Sometimes it’s hard to move around when we have a lot of stock in, but we like it that way. It feels full. We spend a lot of time steaming clothes and trying to keep the displays looking okay, though things always get moved around by the end of the day. The market gets really crowded on the weekends, so those are our busiest times. We don't have a huge team, just a couple of us who take turns minding the counter. We know a lot of the ladies who come in regularly; they usually stop by just to see if anything new has arrived. It’s a lot of chatting and showing off different fabrics. Sometimes the shop next door plays their music a bit too loud, but we’ve learned to ignore it. We don't have a big marketing budget or anything. We just put a sign out front and hope people like what they see in the window. It’s a simple way to run a business, but it works for us. We just like clothes and like being part of the daily market life here.
