We are located at No. 18-a in the Industrial Area. It’s not the prettiest place to look at, just a big functional building among many others on this block. Inside, Laveena Hosiery is mostly about the machines and the bundles of fabric. It gets quite warm in the summer because of all the equipment running all day. We produce a lot of items and most of our time is spent on the floor checking the quality of the stitching. The office is just a small partitioned area with a couple of desks that are usually covered in papers and samples. We have a lot of regular staff who have been with us for a long time. They know the machines better than anyone. The road outside is full of potholes from the heavy trucks that pass through. We don't have a receptionist or a fancy lobby. If you come by, you just walk in and find someone to talk to. It’s a practical environment. We focus on getting the hosiery orders done and shipped out on time. Sometimes the schedules get tight and we stay late to finish up. It’s noisy and busy, but that’s how an industrial unit should be. We don't bother with fancy decor or painting the walls. As long as the machines are working and the stock is moving, we are okay. It’s just how we’ve always done it here.
