Himachal Woollen Mills

We are located right at the Chowk Bye Pass on Samrala Road. Himachal Woollen Mills has been sitting here for quite a long time. The building is a bit grey and the yard is usually full of trucks or piles of raw material. Inside, it’s a different story. The air is thick with the smell of wool and the sound of the spinning machines is constant. It’s a rhythmic noise that you get used to after a while. We spend our days sorting through fibers and making sure the machines are doing their job. It’s dusty work, and you usually leave at the end of the day with bits of fluff stuck to your clothes. We don't have a big marketing department or anyone to write fancy letters. We just focus on the wool. Sometimes the machines get a bit temperamental, and we have to spend hours getting them back on track. The location on Samrala Road is convenient for getting our goods out to the markets. It’s not a glamorous job, and the work can be physically tiring, but there’s something good about seeing the finished yarn or blankets piled up. We aren't into big speeches or corporate talk. We just show up, do the work, and hope the winter is cold enough that people need what we're making. It's a simple, honest life and we're used to it.
