We’ve been over here on Pahawa Road for a while now. Industrial Colony B isn't the fanciest spot in town, but it gets the job done for what we do at Harman Exports. Most days start pretty early because the trucks need to get moving before the traffic on the main road gets too thick. We deal with a lot of stuff heading out to different places, so the warehouse stays busy. It’s mostly just us keeping track of orders and making sure things are packed right so nothing breaks on the way. You’ll usually find a couple of us standing near the loading dock with coffee if the morning isn't too hectic. We don’t really have a big fancy office or anything like that. Just a desk tucked in the corner and a lot of shelving. Sometimes the neighbors come by if they need a hand with something, and we do the same for them. It’s a tight-knit area. We handle a lot of paperwork because exporting isn't as simple as just putting things in a box, even though we wish it were. There’s always some form to sign or a pallet to move. We just try to get through the day's list without making too many mistakes. The dust from the road gets in everywhere, so cleaning is a constant battle. We’ve been here so long the layout of the place is just second nature to everyone. It’s just work, really.
