Gumtali Engg Works

Gumtali Engg Works is a little workshop located at 1355 Dashmesh Nagar, right on Street 12. We do a lot of basic engineering and repair work here. The place is usually full of the smell of metal and the sound of machines running. It’s not the cleanest place in the world, as there are always metal shavings on the floor and tools scattered across the benches, but that’s just part of the job. We’ve been in Dashmesh Nagar for a long time and most of the people on Street 12 know the sound of our shutters opening in the morning. We don’t have a front desk or a waiting room; you just walk in and talk to whoever is not busy with a machine. We take on all kinds of small jobs, from fixing a broken bracket to turning a piece of metal on the lathe. Sometimes the work is slow and we just sit outside for a bit, and other times we are working late into the night to finish something for a neighbor. We don't have any big corporate goals or anything. We just want to do the work right so that whatever we fix stays fixed. It’s a hands-on life and our hands are usually pretty dirty by the end of the shift. If you need some metalwork done, you can usually find us here in the middle of the block on Street 12.
