Gulshan General Store

Gulshan General Store is our little place in Ludhiana, specifically at 1889, Abdullapur Basti. It is a regular neighborhood shop where we keep a bit of everything that a household might run out of. You know how it is, someone realizes they are out of salt or needs a new bar of soap, and they just walk over. The Basti is a crowded place, and our shop is right in the middle of all that daily activity. We have sacks of basic grains and rows of bottled oils. I spend a lot of time just organizing the jars on the counter so everything looks okay. It is not a very big shop, so we have to be smart about how we stack things up. Sometimes the heavy traffic in Ludhiana makes it hard for the supply trucks to reach us on time, but we usually have enough stock to keep everyone happy. The building at 1889 is nothing fancy, just a practical space for a store. Most of our customers are people we have known for years. They come in, ask about the family, and buy their bread or eggs. It feels good to be a part of the Abdullapur Basti community. We aren't trying to be the biggest store, just a reliable one for the local people. Gulshan General Store is just me and maybe one helper on busy days. That is how we have always done things here.
