Gdi Engineers India (Regd.)

Gdi Engineers India (Regd.) is over in Partap Nagar. We are right by Bhagwan Chowk. It is a noisy area with a lot of people passing by all the time. The shop stays quite busy. We have been in this spot for some years now. Inside, there is a lot of metal and tools lying around. It is not a very tidy place but we know where everything is. The morning starts with tea from the stall across the street. We sit on plastic stools and talk about what needs to be fixed that day. Most of the work involves heavy machines and parts. The walls are a bit stained from the grease and the oil. It gets very hot in the summer months and the little ceiling fan just moves the warm air around. We don't have a big staff, just a few people who have been working together for a long time. People from the neighborhood know us by name. Sometimes the electricity goes out and we have to wait a bit before we can get back to the machines. It is just a normal day-to-day life here in the chowk. We don't spend much time on the computer unless we really have to. Most of the time our hands are dirty from the work. It is simple and we just keep going through the pile of orders we have.
