Bhawani Shawls

We are located at E-579 in Phase-VII of the Focal Point area. This is an industrial part of town, so it's mostly factories and big warehouses around us. Our unit is where we handle all the shawl production. It’s a large space because the looms and the finishing tables take up a lot of room. When the machines are running, it’s quite loud, and you can smell the wool and the dyes. We’ve been operating out of Focal Point for quite some time now. The roads around here are a bit rough, especially after it rains, and the trucks kick up a lot of dust. We don't have a fancy front office; you just walk right into the workspace. My desk is tucked in a corner near the back where I can see everything. We spend our days checking the weave of the shawls and making sure the patterns are coming out right. It’s a lot of looking at fine details until your eyes get tired. During the winter months, we are much busier, and the pace gets a bit frantic with the orders. We have a small crew of workers who have been doing this for years and know exactly what to do. We usually take our breaks together outside when the weather is nice. It’s honest work, and we don't try to make it sound like more than it is. We just make shawls and try to keep the quality steady. It’s a long day, but we like the routine.
