You can find us at 3125/3 Mahavir Colony, which is part of the Sunder Nagar area. It’s a bit of a maze back here if you aren’t familiar with how the street numbers work. Eastend Knitwears is situated in a tall building where we share the space with a few other families and small shops. The sound of the knitting machines is pretty much the soundtrack to our lives. It’s a constant hum that starts early in the morning and doesn't stop until late evening when we finally shut things down. We have piles of yarn in every color you can think of stacked against the walls. Sometimes it feels like the yarn is taking over the office space. The air usually smells like wool and tea. We spend a lot of time at the big cutting tables. It’s not the most modern setup, but the machines are reliable as long as we keep them oiled and cleaned. Sunder Nagar is a tight-knit community, no pun intended. We know the people at the corner store and the guy who delivers the water every Tuesday. We’ve been at this address for years and it feels like home now. There’s no big marketing team here, just a few of us making sure the sweaters and hats come out right. It's honest work and we take it one day at a time without too much fuss.
