You can find us at 979 Street No. 7 in Deep Nagar. We have been in the Civil Lines area for quite a long time now. Bhardwaj Hosiery Exports House isn’t as fancy as the name might sound. It is a working building where we deal with a lot of knitted goods. Ludhiana is famous for hosiery, so competition is everywhere, but we just stay in our lane. We spend our days checking the knitting machines and making sure the yarn is feeding through without knotting up. It is a lot of manual checking. We do exports, which means we have to be very careful about the sizes and the colors matching what was asked for. We do not have a big website or a social media person. We just answer the phone and talk to people directly. Sometimes the winters are so busy we do not see our families much, but that is the nature of the trade. The floor is usually covered in bits of thread and the air smells like new cotton. We have a small crew of workers who have been with us for years. They know the machines better than I do sometimes. We are not trying to be a corporate giant. We just want to send out good crates of hosiery that people in other places will actually like wearing. It is just honest daily work for us and the crew.
